Carmina VICOL

AmCham President, CEO, Prime Capital, CEO, Monicol

Carmina VICOL is the CEO of Prime Capital, a leading financial non-banking institution in the Republic of Moldova specializing in mortgage and SMME lending since 2006. Since December 2020 Carmina Vicol is serving also as CEO for the family company “Monicol”, one of the leading producers and exporters of dried fruits and walnuts. Before Prime Capital, she worked as the Director of a USAID program, as a Business Developer at Ernst & Young, Treasury Manager at Voxtel (now Orange), and 6 years in local banks. She has an MBA degree and served as a visiting professor for corporate finance at Grenoble Graduate School of Business. Alongside career achievements, Carmina is also involved in managing a family business in the production and export of agriproducts. She is a member of several associations, Board member of AmCham, few companies, and a former President of the Association of Entrepreneur Women of Moldova (AFAM).


Country Manager, Coca-Cola Hellenic Moldova

Sergey HOVELYAN is the Country Manager for Coca-Cola Hellenic Moldova (CCHBC) and is the one who leads a team of passionate and dedicated people. Being part of a "global giant" like the Coca-Cola Company, in his role, Sergey plays an active part in overviewing Moldovan Coca-Cola Hellenic operations, leading the Finance, Commercial, Human Resources, and Supply Chain functions. Sergey started his career in Coca-Cola Hellenic in Armenia in 2002 as a Market Developer; since then, he occupied various roles in Sales function such as Sales Team Leader and CDE Manager in Armenia, and in 2011 he held the position of SAP W2 Project Manager.  In 2013 Sergey joined BSS as Cluster BSS Manager - Ukraine, Belarus, and Armenia with the addition of Moldova in 2014, while in January 2017 he took responsibility also for Poland and Baltics under the BSS Enterprise Solutions unit. Sergey contributed actively to the business development, strategic planning, and organizational projects implementation that led to  operational processes efficiency. Hehas legal background and holds an MBA degree.  During his entire career, Sergey has proven to be a dedicated and valuable member of Coca-Cola Hellenic Senior Lead Team, he has always been a role model of collaboration, ownership that highly appreciated by all colleagues.

Carolina BUGAIAN


Carolina  has an extensive experience in the areas of telecom, financial management, corporate finance and governance, project management, audit and assurance in Moldova, Romania, Russia, Nepal and Eurasia. Carolina Bugaian is a chartered accountant, certified internal auditor, certified Project Manager, holds a Ph.D. in economics from Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, Global Business MBA from Oxford-Brookes University, has graduated FinTech course from Harvard University. Carolina is an active Board member of Foreign Investors Association, member of Tax Committee American Chamber of Commerce, European Business Association and ATIC, as well as Council of Economic International Relations Faculty at the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova.

Giorgi has more than 25 years of banking experience, last time worked as deputy CEO of TBC Bank, the largest bank in the south Caucasus region, where he led the teams listing TBC’s share on the London Stock Exchange and Opening TBCs subsidiary in Uzbekistan. Giorgi can also build on his international digital and operational experience at Barclays bank in London and Dubai as well as on his time as Chairman of TBC’s start-up challenger bank in Uzbekistan and as Chairman of PayMe, the leading payments ecosystem in Uzbekistan, acquired by TBC and that time counting more than 2.5 million customers. He has an MBA from the University of Cambridge, an MSc in Engineering from Tbilisi State University, and is a CFA charterholder.


Founder & CTO, XOR

Nik is a former rocket scientist turned artificial intelligence expert who built XOR's first platform and oversees product development today. He is passionate about creating a labor market where the needs of employers and people are both met more efficiently. Nik famously competed in an AI competition (and won) to convince Aida to start XOR with him. When he's not working he is seeking out new adventures with his family.

I am passionate about everything I do. I like people, interacting with them is what gives me energy and motivates me. I like to encourage free and open discussions, to listen without judging, I like to know that I bring added value to discussions without imposing my point of view. After finishing my studies, I didn't plan my career with a final goal in mind, but I chose an initial career path that I "felt" valued me and resonated with me at that time. Thus, I chose sales. After an extraordinary period of time spent in sales, having various roles and coordinating different teams, I headed to Human Resources. The change came naturally and at a time when I felt that I wanted and could accompany people in their development, support them, have an impact in their professional growth and in the development of their performance. I am enthusiastic, full of energy, curious, with a fairly well-developed sense of humor, oriented towards finding solutions and connecting with people, not just limiting myself to making recommendations. I like to be in the middle of things and enjoy every moment. I am passionate about sports: I play tennis, I run, and yes, I dance every chance I get. 


Sebastian Toporjinschi joined the Ascendis team in early 2017 and is involved in leadership, team development, organizational management, risk analysis and risk management, crisis management, intelligence analysis, negotiation and mediation and conflict management programs. Sebastian has over 16 years of experience in military and national security and is an expert in Special Operations Forces and Information Analysis.  Sebastian strongly believes in team power and the idea that in order to have good Leadership, you first need to build «Followership» and «Fellowship».

Steluta Andreeva is a strategic and crisis communication expert, with 18 years of experience in managing strategic, corporate and PR departments of various entities, including high-level state institutions, international organisations and projects, corporations, private companies, investment projects, public figures. Steluța helps in development of internal and external communication flows, ensuring a better image and increasing transparency in the activity of the institution, drafting communication strategic products, providing expertise, conducting internal and external communication analysis.
